One of the most important questions for a YWAMer exploring business as mission is how they will relate to YWAM. The BAM Key Statements and Principles state that a MOU should be established between the business as mission ministry leader(s) and the YWAM leader(s) in order to clarify this relationship and to draw out communication on the important issues relating to business as mission projects.  See also YWAM FAQsDownload now

Where YWAM entities are already registered in nations they are usually Not-for-profit or Charitable organisations. Business as Mission companies must have a separate legal standing as for-profit entities, although they may be relationally associated with YWAM.  Good legal advice is important and all prospective business as mission practitioners in YWAM must go through this Legal and Structural Checklist.
