Transformational… From YWAM's Business as Mission Resource Team The Introduction to Business as Mission (iBAM) course took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand, starting at the end of January earlier this year. This 6 week training course, the first of its kind, was designed to take men and women with a calling to business and equip them to become cross-cultural entrepreneurs for the kingdom of God. An African experience Eli, iBAM Participant, Shares His Experience Eli has been working with YWAM in Africa for a few years. His heart has been burning to see his continent break out of poverty. He made the journey from West Africa to Thailand to take part in the first Introduction to Business as Mission (iBAM) course. “It was a privilege to see Eli come to life through the teaching and in wrestling over the tensions and issues raised with the other participants. It was as if his passion and gifting as an entrepreneur were polished during the course so that he can now go out to display them. ”, comments a course staff. Business focus Field Trips – Indonesia & Cambodia Reports “Wow! This business owner talked about everything we have been hearing in the classroom.” This was the statement of one participant of the Introduction to Business as Mission (iBAM) course after visiting a business as mission enterprise on the first day of the field trip. As part of the iBAM’s intensive six weeks of learning, one week was set aside to go on a field trip to China, Indonesia, Cambodia or Northern Thailand. In each location a group of participants visited business as mission enterprises that are working out the reality of building the kingdom of God in business.
