Thinking outside the box is our challenge. Sharon's heart filled with the desire to see justice and dignity resorted to lanmine disabled people in Asia. In thinking outside the box and doing research in some countries in Asia, she founded and developed Fruit of Life. Fruit of Life employs landmine disabled Asians and is as such registered as an NGO. In the last centuries, we have seen amazing movements of the body of Christ to go into all the world and share the gospel, but how do we finish the task? Business on the frontiers, AsiaFor the Jones’, a call to missions on the frontiers began when God gave them a burden to reach the Sepupu people of Asia…. Having previously worked on the missionary field, they came to work among the Sepupu with a fairly ‘traditional’ model in mind. As they researched and prayed, however, they were lead towards a strategy of church planting that was very different from what they were used to. Chris Page, Cards from Africa, Rwanda In 2001 Chris Page visited Rwanda and saw the enormous poverty and need amongst youth. As he was praying about it God gave him the word ‘dignity’. Back in the UK God helped him realize that job creation and business development was an excellent way to help restore dignity to these needy youth, lifting them from the oppression of poverty, which God speaks about numerous times throughout the Bible. Chris has been on this exciting journey with God, leading him to join YWAM. From small beginnings to learn about how to do business in Rwanda, Chris has now established multiple ventures including Cards from Africa, which has grown to employ more than 70 orphans and achieve international recognition. Skateboarding is one of these globally recognised sub-cultures, not only in western nations, but also increasingly all around the world, particularly in Asia. The skate culture is dominated by negativity and destructive imagery, but, like in all cultures, Jesus loves young people with a passion for skateboarding and desires to bring transformation. Trinity was formed in 2002 with a vision “to influence skaters and the skate industry with the gospel”. The Trinity team began reaching out to skaters through school demo’s, comps, outreaches etc. Soon they felt it was time to begin to influence the entire industry. He’s also a businessman who has been in business in India for three years. "We felt called to an affluent business community in India," Sam explains, "and it was important to us to be business people to be part of that community." Sam started out three years ago with a low-scale business but quickly found out that wouldn’t work. "The expectation of our neighbours and peers was that we should do ‘real’ business."
