Business Discipleship Training School

What

A life changing 5 month Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Asia. Learn about God, His world, and His plans for business through a cross-cultural experience. 

When

January 18, 2014 to June 21, 2014. During this time, participants will experience 12 weeks of lecture and training; followed by 10 weeks of service and outreach.

Where

The city of Chiang Mai is located in northern Thailand.  Participants are hosted by the YWAM Business DTS Team.

Who

Those who have a passion for knowing God and making Him known, interest in fulfilling the Great Commission to the nations, and passion/interest in business.

Cost

$6000 US dollars approximately for 5 months full-board and Asia-based travel.

More About the Business DTS

All over the world, business men and women are having their eyes opened to God's purpose for business as a vital instrument for fulfilling the Great Commission.   

The catalyst for this change is rooted in the understanding and implementation of Biblical foundations into the daily lives of business owners, practitioners, and students.  Through God's word, these men and women are learning that business has power to transform communities and nations in Jesus' name.

This transformation has affected both individuals and their communities.  Not only are individuals delivered from poverty and slavery, but entire communities are experiencing development that supports a growing church, and ultimately many coming to faith in Jesus.

With all of this in mind, this Business DTS is designed for people with any interest in business, including entrepreneurs/owners, business practitioners, business students, or folks exploring business as a catalyst for transformational change.  It will help will help lay solid foundations for a life of service to God through business, either in your home community, or to the ends of the Earth!

Participants will learn to know God more deeply, how to live more like Jesus, and identify how God will use your unique gifts to take part in a truly Great Commision that we are all invited to participate in. 

Youth With A Mission have been training people through DTS programs for over 35 years, preparing them to be Christ-followers in all arenas of society.

Transformation Begins with Us

As stated, this DTS will give all participants an opportunity to be a part of God's work through business.  We begin by learning about God, looking at his Father’s heart, and His nature and character. Truly, transformation begins with us as we study together in class, reflect on our spiritual lives, and live in community.

We then have the opportunity to explore Kingdom businesses in Asia, learning practically how to implement the skills taught during the lecture phase. The Business DTS intends to be experiential and practical.  As participants discover the purposes of God in their lives both personally, professionally, and in community, they will have opportunities to apply their learning experiences immediately. 

God has called each of us to ‘go into all the world and make disciples of all nations’ (Matthew 28:19). Here is an opportunity to go!
